Semi-plated: the best of both
Semi-plated means starters and desserts are served to the table by staff while mains stay on the buffet. This lifts the perceived service level while keeping cost close to buffet.
Full plated: for intimate weddings
Plated service works below 120 guests and requires strong kitchen coordination. It is more elegant but adds 30 to 50 percent to service cost and slows the meal by 30 to 45 minutes.
